The World Elite in Skicross at Idre Fjäll

At Idre Fjäll, we take pride in being Sweden's national arena for skicross. Every year, we host the Swedish World Cup event in skicross, a major and high-speed event with the entire world elite in attendance.

Thursday March 21, Qualifying competitions, at 12:30 p.m.
Friday 22/3 Finals, competition 1, at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday 23/3 World Cup final 2024, at 12:00 noon.

Do you want to watch the competitions live?
The Ski Cross World Cup takes place on slope Tallbacken. Also – come meet the competition's sponsors in Västbacken next to the Skicross course (fun things will happen).

Do you want to watch the World Cup on Swedish TV?
Friday 22 March 2024: Studio airs 12:15-14:30, Finals start 12:30. Broadcast on TV6.
Saturday 23 March 2024: Studio airs 11:45 – 14:00, Finals start 12:00. Broadcast on TV6.

This is how you are affected as a skiing guest

Impact on slopes & tracks

  • During the competition days, the Tallbacken piste is closed to the public.
  • Blåbärsslingan → Fäbodsvängen. The passage from the Blåbärsslingan piste to Västbacken will be closed from Saturday March 16 until Saturday March 23 when the competitions have ended. Skiers from the slopes in the Nord area and Blåbärsslingan then connect to Västbacken via Fäbodsvängen.
  • Fjället Runt & Milen tracks includes a part through Västbacken which will be blocked from Saturday March 16 - Saturday March 23 (when the competitions have ended). Guests skiing the Fjället Runt and Milen tracks can pass by sliding down Västbacken and over to the Stadium below Restaurant Vildmarksnästet.

Parking
Parking at the Stadium is extremely limited, please park in our other parking areas throughout the week of the competitions.
