This summer, Idre Fjäll is organizing an exclusive hiking experience in collaboration with outdoor chef and wild food expert Elle Nikishkova from Elles Utemat (Elle's Outdoor Food). Our forests are full of nutritious plants, herbs, berries, and mushrooms, and the Swedish right of public access gives us the opportunity to harvest edible treasures from the wilderness. During this hike, you will learn to recognize the most delicious wild foods in the forest and on the mountain. Elle will share insights and show edible mushrooms, plants, and berries. We'll forage as we hike, enjoying enchanting forests and majestic views.
The hike leads to our outdoor cooking camp where we'll learn to light a fire using natural materials and cook a meal together over open fire using the ingredients we've gathered in our baskets. The day concludes with a campfire coffee workshop where we'll learn to brew a delicious coffee over an open fire, and to accompany the coffee, we'll indulge in a tasty dessert made with our freshly picked berries.
