Running in the mountains gives an incredible sense of freedom. Endless views, lush green hills, and fresh mountain air – it doesn’t get better than this! Every August, Idre Fjäll proudly hosts the Craft Idre Fjällmaraton. We hope you’ll join us to run on our beautiful trails, whether you’re competing in the race or just out for a jog.

This year's marathon takes place on August 23.

Live music by the band Duo Jag

After the award ceremony, the festivities continue as the popular cover band Duo Jag takes the stage. Get ready for an evening full of sing-alongs and dance-friendly hits!

Yoga

Sheila Arnell invites you to two different yoga classes in the sports hall during the marathon weekend – for both a gentle start and soothing recovery.

Morning Yoga, August 22-24
Start your day with calming yoga, breathing, and presence. Perfect for waking up the body before the race.

After-run Yoga, August 23
Relax after the race with recovery movements for the legs, hips, and back.

Please pre-book your spot or drop in (subject to availability). Everyone is welcome – no prior experience required.

Askes Mountain Marathon

On Friday, 22 August 2025, all children under 14 can run the Askes Mountain Marathon, a 1 km race. The course is well-marked and untimed. At the finish line, there will be a tasty treat and, of course, a well-deserved medal!

Mountain Marathon Club

Let the kids join the Mountain Marathon Club while mums and dads run the marathon. Our experienced activity leaders have planned fun activities both outdoors and indoors. We’ll gather at Askes Summer Meadow and also visit the Activity Centre for bowling, mini-golf, sports hall games, crafts, and more. Dress appropriately for the weather as we will be outside as well. Lunch and snacks are included.

Mountain Marathon Club

Post-race dinner together

Celebrate your achievement with a delicious two-course buffet dinner at Värdshuset! Gather your fellow runners, family, and supporters for a wonderful evening together.

The dinner is included for those who have booked one of our packages. If you haven’t booked a package, you are still welcome to reserve a dinner. To do so, email bokning@idrefjall.se or grupp@idrefjall.se, or call us by phone. Drop-in is available subject to space, but we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.

Go by bus

Enjoy a good pre-race-rest on your way to Idre Fjäll, and a power nap on the way back – book your seat on our Fjällmaraton bus from Stockholm or Gothenburg.

Departure at 8.00 AM on Thursday, August 21, and return at 8.00 AM on Sunday, August 24.
