A Tuesday evening in the forest or a sunset picnic at a scenic viewpoint? Here are some of our favourite nearby adventures – simple, beautiful and easy to enjoy!
Have dinner in the forest or by a mountain tarn! Bring some firewood, light a campfire and grill dinner at one of the many fire pits around Idre. We recommend the cosy Gränjeåstjärn at the foot of Städjan, Burusjön or the shores of Lake Idresjön.
Tip! Download the Terrängkartan app, where shelters, fire pits and hiking trails are marked.
Go on a sunset hike and enjoy the blue-toned mountains of Dalarna and pink evening skies. We recommend Städjan, the summit of Idre Fjäll or Molnet near Nipfjället.
Try the Troll Road on Nipfjället – where your car appears to roll uphill! This optical illusion only exists in a few places around the world. Near Nipgubben on the road towards the summer parking area, you’ll find a sign with instructions.
