Digital Accessibility

Accessibility on idrefjall.se

The Idre Fjäll Foundation works to ensure that idrefjall.se is accessible and easy to use for everyone – regardless of disability or the assistive technologies used.

We strive to comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and to meet the requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

How we work

We continuously work to improve the website by:

  • Ensuring that important information is available in text and not only in images
  • Improving contrast, colour choices, and readability
  • Writing clear link texts and creating a more logical content structure
  • Improving the website’s code structure for better compatibility with assistive technologies
  • Making content and navigation clearer and easier to understand

Support for assistive technologies

We develop the website to work well with modern assistive technologies, such as:

  • Screen readers
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Various types of accessibility settings in browsers and devices

Video & audio

We work to ensure that audio and video content is accessible by:

  • Providing captions for new material
  • Gradually replacing or updating older content that lacks captions

Ongoing improvements

We are aware that some parts of the website still need improvement. Examples of areas we are working on include:

  • Better support for keyboard navigation
  • Adding alternative text to images where it is missing
  • Improving the structure and grouping of content to make navigation easier
  • Older video and audio material that lacks captions
