Stiftelsen Idre Fjäll’s general booking terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply between Stiftelsen Idre Fjäll and persons who, themselves or through another person, draw up an agreement according to that stated in the confirmation. In the terms and conditions, the Purchaser is specified as the Customer and other travellers as Guests. The booking/agreement may apply to accommodation in cabins/apartments/Pernilla Wiberg Hotel/camping and other products/services, or a combination of these, referred to as a “package holiday.”


Booking for private persons: For customers to book/enter into an agreement with Idre Fjäll for accommodation the mandatory age limit is 20. ID cards will be checked upon arrival. Fulfilment of the age limit is a requirement for gaining access to the accommodation. If the Customer does not fulfil the age limit upon access to the accommodation, the rules for cancellation apply. Minor guests who accompany without the guardian’s company, should have written approval of the guardian.
Different age limits may occur.

Group bookings: A group is an association, organisation, school or company comprising of at least 20 persons (not families). Referred to as the Customer.The booking should be made by a competent person of legal age, who has turned 22, referred to as the Contact person. The Customer should make the booking under the name of the association, organisation, school or company. The corporate identity number should be provided at the time of booking.

Booking accommodation: The basic price includes rent of cabin/apartment, electricity, water and beds/extra beds incl. quilts and pillows. Idre Fjäll applies variable pricing. Variations to planning/furnishings and bedrooms without windows may occur. The Customer and guests may not utilise the cabin/ apartment for any other purpose besides holiday accommodation, unless agreed otherwise at the time of booking.The number of persons in the accommodation may not exceed the accommodation’s number of beds. No discounts for children or extra beds apply for cabin/apartment prices. Special requests relating to pets or adaption of the furnishing for guests with disabilities should be made at the time of booking. Other requests will be fulfilled if possible. Idre Fjäll reserves the right to change accommodation to equivalent accommodation or make upgrades up until the arrival date without informing the Customer.
Different discounts or offers cannot be combined.
The basic price does not include bed linen, towels, childbeds/chairs or departure cleaning. In accordance with applicable prices, additional orders can be placed for the afore-mentioned services, as well as pet supplement, ski, roller ski, trail and lift passes, equipment rent, ski school, activities and food. Fees for balcony, terrace, west location or supplement for proximity to slopes may be added. Toilet paper and washing machine tablets are not included. Square metre specifications refer to the outer dimension of the cabin/apartment. Linen, cleaning and breakfast are included in the basic price for booking accommodation at Pernilla Wiberg Hotel. Pernilla Wiberg Hotel is pet-free.

PaymentBooking extra products/arrangements: Advance bookings of ski, roller ski, trail and lift passes, ski school, equipment, activities and linen can be made up to 1 day before arrival. Advance bookings for food can be made up to 4 days before arrival. Payment of all pre-bookings for extra products/arrangements should be made before arrival. See Payment. Departure cleaning can be booked up to 3 days before departure. For groups, see Supplement to booking terms and conditions. Package holiday: For booking a so-called “package holiday,” organised by Idre Fjäll, the Customer or Guest cannot cancel or change individual products in the package. See Cancellation for cancelling packages. We refer to Visita’s general terms and conditions for group and conference arrangements where meals and/activities are included.

Unspecified bookings: An unspecified booking entails that accommodation is assigned upon check in. The accommodation is adapted to the number of persons the Customer specified on the contract. For bookings of more than 4 persons, the beds may be divided among several accommodation facilities. Space may be provided in extra beds. A toilet/shower, TV and cooking facilities are available in the accommodation. See Cancellation for cancelling unspecified bookings/packages. For special requests regarding the accommodation or location of the accommodation, Idre Fjäll recommends booking specified accommodation.

Booking confirmation: The booking confirmation should be checked when it is received, so that all information is correct. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that information on the booking confirmation is correct. The booking confirmation is sent through e-mail.
In the event of a mistake, Idre Fjäll should be contacted within 3 days of receipt of the confirmation

Payment: Payment is divided in part and final payment. The part/final payment information should be checked when it is received, so that all information is correct. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the information is correct.
Part payment covers 20% of the accommodation amount and any cancellation insurance.
The part payment should be received by Idre Fjäll no later than 10 days after the booking date. The final payment should be received by Idre Fjäll no later than 40 days before arrival. For bookings later than 61 days before arrival, only final payment of the entire amount applies.
For payments through online banking, the OCR number should always be stated. In the event that final or part payment is not made on time, Idre Fjäll reserves the right to cancel the booking. The Customer should always contact Idre Fjäll’s booking department for cancellation. Idre Fjäll does not send payment reminders or payment confirmations. The full rental amount must be paid in order to gain access to the booked accommodation.

Payment on invoice: Only possible for booking earlier than 61 days before arrival. Payment for later bookings is made through “My pages.” See also rules below “Payment.”

Payment through “My pages:” For payments through the online store, part payment is made directly at the time of booking. Final payment is made by the Customer through My pages at the latest 40 days before arrival. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that part and final payment are received by Idre Fjäll on the fixed due date. For bookings less than 61 days before arrival, final payment of the entire amount is made directly at the time of booking.

Changes to bookings: For changes to the accommodation booking, when more than 14 days remain until the arrival date, a booking fee of SEK 500 is charged. For changes to the accommodation booking, when 14 days or less remain until the arrival date, a fee of SEK 1,500 is charged. Changes to the accommodation booking refer to changes to another accommodation or to another period during the same season. Bookings can also be changed to apply for another person and are then free of charge. Idre Fjäll may deny changes in cases where special reasons exist. Changes to supplementary orders can be made free of charge up to 4 days before the arrival date. Does not apply to cancellations. See Cancellation insurance and Cancellation. Cancellation insurance: Can be purchased at a cost of SEK 350 per cabin/apartment. For package holidays/arrangements and unspecified holidays, where price/person is applied, personal cancellation insurance can be purchased for SEK 100/person. Cancellation insurance can only be purchased at the time of booking and applies for:


  • Death, illness or accident which affected you, your spouse, live-in partner, family or fellow-travellers.
  • Drafting for the armed forces or civil defence.
  • A serious incident outside your control and which could not have been predicted at the time of booking. For repayment, see further below “Cancellation.”

Cancellation: Cancellation should be made in writing or orally to Idre Fjäll’s booking department. Always state the name, contract number and booked arrival date.

The following applies if there is cancellation insurance: For cancellation, Idre Fjäll retains the fee of cancellation insurance and an administration fee of SEK 400 per cabin/apartment. For personal cancellation insurance, Idre Fjäll retains the fee for cancellation insurance and an administration fee of SEK 200/person. Cancellation can be made up until the arrival date. A medical certificate confirming the cause of the cancellation is required when less than 40 days remain before arrival. Exceptions: For cancellation of pre-ordered food less than 4 days before the start date, the full price will be charged. The following applies if there is no cancellation insurance: For cancellation when more than 39 days remain before arrival, Idre Fjäll retains the part payment, which refers to 20% of the accommodation cost. For cancellation when less than 40 days remain before arrival, Idre Fjäll retains the paid amount for the accommodation.
For cancellation of pre-booked ski school, activity as well as equipment later than 4 days before the start date, a cancellation fee of SEK 100/booked ski school, activity and/or equipment is charged. For cancellation later than 24 hours until start date, the Customer will be charged in accordance with the applicable pricelist.
Cancellation of pre-booked ski, roller ski, trail and lift passes can be made up until the check in date. The Customer receives the amount paid for cancelled passes.

Cancellation during commenced stay: In the event that the stay is discontinued, the paid accommodation cost will not be repaid. Collected equipment will only be bought back on submission of a medical certificate, and then the remaining rental duration will be compensated. Applies from the date the certificate is printed by a doctor and the equipment is returned. Medical certificates and equipment should be provided to the nearest rental outlet. Does not apply for equipment included in package holidays.
For cancellation of ski school/activity which has already started, the remaining duration of the ski school/activity will be repaid on submission of a medical certificate. Applies from the date the certificate is printed by a doctor and Idre Fjäll has been notified.
Used ski, roller ski, trail and lift passes will be bought back only upon submission of a medical certificate and unutilised travel duration will be compensated. Applies from the date the certificate is printed by a doctor. Medical certificates and passes should be provided to the nearest sales outlet. Does not apply for passes included in package holidays.
For cancellation of pre-ordered food less than 4 days before the start date, the full price will be charged.

Complaints: Complaints for the cabin/apartment should be made to cabin service at Idre Fjäll, as soon as possible, however at the latest at 12:00 the day after arrival. Faults which emerge during your stay should immediately be communicated to cabin service at Idre Fjäll.
If the cabin/apartment which is provided is not in promised condition and if Idre Fjäll cannot rectify this, you are entitled to terminate the agreement. Other complaints should be made to the reception in the centre building. If an agreement cannot be reached, we refer to the Visita Disciplinary Board.

Responsibility for property/causing injury: Idre Fjäll is not responsible for forgotten/lost items. Injury which is caused to the Customer or Guest by negligence on Idre Fjäll’s part, shall be compensated. In such cases, the Customer/Guest should notify this immediately to the reception at Idre Fjäll. On its part, the Customer/ Guest is responsible for injury in the cases the Customer/Guest himself/herself, or anyone in his/her company, due to negligence, has caused the injury. Any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in activities organized by Idre Fjäll if their condition is deemed to pose any safety issues to themselves or others. No refund will be offered in such circumstance.

Other obligations: The Customer/Guest should take good care of the cabin/apartment and comply with the administrative rules, instructions and provisions which apply.

  • Between the hours 23:00 and 07:00, the Customer/guests should be highly considerate towards other guests and should not make noise.
  • The Customer is responsible for the damage which occurs to the property and its equipment in the event the damage is caused by the Customer/accompanying guests or negligence by anyone else who has been provided access to the accommodation.
  • The Customer/accompanying guests may not set up tents, park caravans or campers on the site or in public parking lots. Camping is only permitted in designated camping areas. See also Camping terms and conditions.
  • Any person who apperars to beunder influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in activities organized by Idre Fjäll if their condition is deemed to pose any safety issues to themselves or others. No refund will be offered in such circumstance.
  • The Customer/accompanying guests may not install music audio systems or other disturbing equipment in the accommodation or right next to the accommodation.
  • The Customer/Guest should comply with the provisions which apply for the cabin/apartment, concerning the prohibition of smoking and possibly pets.
  • Any offenders will be prosecuted. Breach of the prohibition of smoking and pets will be charged a fee from SEK 3,000.

Cleaning: If departure cleaning has not been ordered, the Customer/Guest should clean before departure in accordance with the cleaning instructions. Failure to clean or cleaning which is poor according to Idre Fjäll’s assessment, will be charged a fee from SEK 3,000.

Keys: All keys for booked cabins/apartments should be returned during check out. Idre Fjäll will charge SEK 800 per key for unreturned keys.

Violation of agreement: This is an agreement prepared between the Customer (the Purchaser) and Stiftelsen Idre Fjäll. The agreement is binding and approved by the Customer upon paying the part payment.
The agreement ceases to apply with immediate effect if:

  • The booking terms and conditions are not fulfilled.
  • The Customer/accompanying guests behave in a disturbing manner in the cabin/ apartment/area.
  • The Customer/accompanying guests cause damage to the cabin/apartment/ area.
  • The cabin/apartment is not used for the intended purpose.
  • If a violation of the agreement occurs, the Customer/accompanying guests must immediately move from the cabin/apartment/camping site/hotel and are not entitled to recover any part of the paid amount. Damages may be claimed from the Customer in the event of destruction or disturbing behaviour.

Force majeure: In the event of war, natural disasters, strikes and other events which can be considered as force majeure, Idre Fjäll can revoke the agreement, in doing which the Guest should be notified as early as possible. In such cases, Idre Fjäll is liable to pay back the amount which has been paid, with the exception of any used days of the cabin/apartment and used supplementary products.

Other: The majority of the cabins/apartments which are let by Stiftelsen Idre Fjäll are owned by another owner and are only let on behalf of the accommodation owner. The standard and equipment vary. The cabins/apartments are equipped for self-catering. Both Saturday and Sunday change is applied. Maps and drawings only provide an approximate view of localisation and space. Carefully check the arrival and departure date on the booking confirmation. The cabins/ apartments are allocated in accordance with information in the booking confirmation. Different check in times apply. We make reservations for any delays during check in due to unforeseen events around or with the accommodation. Compensation is not provided for delays concerning check in duration.
